Good Morning,

This message is coming to you with great depression due to my state of discomfort. I came down here to Manila, Philippines for a short vacation but unfortunately, we were mugged and robbed at the park of the hotel where we stayed. All cash, credit cards and Mobile phones were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our lives and passports.

We've been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in less than 12hrs from now but we are having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills about £2,000 (GBP) . Hope you get this on time, We made a trip to Kiev, Ukraine and had our bags stolen from us with our phones and credit cards in it. The embassy is willing to help by letting us fly back home since we still have our passports, We just have to pay for our ticket and settle Hotel bills. Ein Gastartikel vom 1337core-Alex.

Google sagt immer, dass die Software sich von selbst “verbessert”. Alles in der Cloud und so.

Klar: “Wir machen alles so wie wir wollen und uns interessiert nicht was ihr wollt – solange ihr angemeldet bleibt.” würde niemand aus der Marketing-Abteilung jemals sagen (dürfen).

Die Youtube-Kommentare wurden mit Google+ zusammengelegt. Das heißt, die Youtube-Nutzer müssen einen Google+ Account haben. Nebenbei hat das neue System einige Bugs. Die Seite wird neu geladen, wenn jemand wissen will auf welchen Kommentar sich eine Antwort bezieht. Die Moderierung der Kommentare funktioniert nicht mehr…

Die Youtube-Nutzer sind angepisst und reagieren mit einem ASCII-Krieg, der die Plattform mit Bob und seiner Armee überschwemmt. Mal abwarten ob Google da reagiert oder einfach den Kopf in den Sand steckt. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass sich da etwas ändern wird.

Wie das folgende auf Mobilgeräten aussehen wird? Sicher ziemlich scheiße...

Why are there celebrities?
"Celebrity worship" is just another form of submission to authority. Organisms get more done in teams than as a bunch of individuals (specialisation and mutual dependency are very strong weapons if you can set up an environment where you can actually rely on them). Why are there trees in the middle of fields?
They provide shade for field-workers during breaks. Less relevant now with increasing mechanisation, so most are there these days because they've "always" been there, and getting rid of trees is a bitch of a job.

Why are there doors on the freeway?
Maintenance access. That or portals to alternate realities, depending on whether you've read 1Q84.

Why is there kicking in my stomach?
You know those sticks you can buy that you pee on and get one line or two? You might want to go and get one of those. And then schedule an appointment with a doctor.

Why are there so many svchost.exe running?
Failsafing. The svchost processes handle background services for the operating system. You have a lot of them because it means that if there's an error with one service (and hence one svchost process) it doesn't bring down the whole thing. There are other ways of handling this, but this is the way that Windows chose to go.

Why are there scary sounds in Minecraft?
Because they add to a sense of danger, which gives a bit more of a thrill to players. It also gives another incentive to avoid Creepers, as the explosion scares the bejeezus out of me every time, even without the environmental damage.

Woran glaubt die Netzgemeinde?
An schnelle Leitungen, an die Macht des FULL ACK, an Zombies und an Katzen. Vor allem Katzen. Man könnte sagen, die Netzgemeinde wandelt glaubenstechnisch auf den Spuren der alten Ägypter: viel Leben nach dem Tod und extrem viele Katzen.

Was sind Werte im Netz? (charing ist caring o.ä.? Vielleicht bist du ja ein Kopimist)
Fame. Ohne Follower bist du nichts, je mehr Likes du bekommst desto realer wirst du. In anderen Bereichen des Neuland gilt auch noch das gute alte "haste was biste was", wer am meisten GB Zeugs teilen kann, ist beliebt. "Sharing is caring" ist natürlich für mich persönlich einer der Hauptwerte, vor allem in MMORPGs, da ich virtuellen Handel für die reine Pest halte. Ach ja und: Rechtschreibung! Ganz groß.

Gibt es Rituale im Netz? Wenn ja, welche?
Da fällt mir zunächst der rituelle Shitstorm nach der Verwendung des Wortes "Netzgemeinde" ein, denn einen größer zerstrittenen Haufen findet man sonst nur bei linken Gruppierungen des Politlebens. Das zweite große Ritual ist das sogenannte "Trollen": egal wer wann was zu welchem Thema sagt oder schreibt, es dauert meist keine 5 Minuten und irgend ein Depp kommt daher und hinterlässt einen Kommentar, der entweder a) komplett am Thema vorbei geht oder b) "zum Spaß" die Gegenposition einnimmt nur um "mal Feuer in die Diskussion zu bringen" oder c) tatsächlich anderer Meinung ist, diese aber in einem Ton vorträgt, für den mir meine Mutter den Mund mit Stahlwolle ausgewaschen hätte.

Gibt es einen Netzgott, die größte Sünde im Netz? Wenn ja, welche?
Es gibt mehr Netzgötter als Sand am Meer. Spontan fallen mir ein: Grumpy-Cat, GOATSE, Cats von All Your Base Are Belong To Us, Cory Doctorow und Monty Python. Die größte Sünde? Dumme Fragen an die Netzgemeinde.

Alex schreibt eigentlich auf 1337core. Der folgende Artikel hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich ihn gefragt habe, ob er nicht vielleicht einen Gastartikel bei mir unterbringen will. Er hat ja gesagt. Danke Alex und herzlich willkommen im Internet.

Es ist vorbei. Wenn Facebook eine Party wäre, dann würden die ersten coolen Leute gehen. Damit meine ich im speziellen MICH. Facebook will, dass ich alle meine Bekannten und Freunde in dieses Netzwerk einlade und damit ist die Geschichte auch schon vorbei. Das war eine Zeit lang ganz lustig, aber jetzt nervt es nur noch.

Darf ich jemanden, den ich mal getroffen habe, der mir aber auf den Sack geht, überhaupt löschen? Wird er mich dann weniger leiden können? Wird das Nachteile für mich haben?

Wenn ich meine Facebookliste durchblättere, dann kann ich mit mindestens der Hälfte davon nichts anfangen. Wir könnten zusammen tagelang in einem Raum eingesperrt werden und würde kein Gesprächsthema finden. Wie mein Stream wohl in den Augen dieser Person aussieht? Der/Die muss mich für völlig bescheuert halten? Warum schmeißt Sie/Er mich dann nicht raus? Da sind Leute dabei, die haben mir noch nie ein Wort geschrieben. Wie Gesichter, die mich durch meine Fenster beobachten, aber nie etwas sagen.

Wenn wir das Gefühl von Facebook auf die größten Punkte reduzieren, haben wir:

Bestätigung oder auch “Likes” genannt, sind das was wir wollen. Wir wollen viele Likes. Likes von Menschen, mit denen wir sonst kaum etwas zu tun haben oder teilen? Vielleicht, doch nicht. Wenn ich mir meinen Stream anschaue, bekommt immer irgendwas-mit-Karriere am Meisten “Likes”. Wenn es bei mir karrieretechnisch gut läuft, dann wird das geliked. Das ist sozial anerkannt. Nicht kritisch. Da kannst du nichts falsch machen. Witzige Bilder gehen natürlich auch. Politik nur selten. Alles Ernsthafte bekommt wenig bis keine Likes. Meine Lieblingsmusik bekommt auch keine Likes.

Facebook spült auch automatische alle Likes und Kommentare in die Stream der anderen, was sich eher so wie bei der STASI anfühlt. Darf ich das jetzt kommentieren? Darf ich das jetzt liken oder gefällt das meinem Chef oder meiner Mutter vielleicht nicht? Welches Licht wirft das auf mich? Im Zweifelsfall lässt man es – aus Angst verurteilt zu werden.

“Dinge lassen aus Angst verurteilt zu werden” habe ich ganz gewaltig satt.

Ich bin bei Facebook eingetreten, um meine Bekannte an einem Ort zu sammeln. Das wurde gemischt mit Kollegen, Familie und Freunde. Danach hielt ich es eher für ein Experiment zu Gruppeneffekten. Doch ich bin damit durch. Ich weiß ausreichend. Mehr als die Hälfte, bestimmt. Es reizt mich nicht mehr. Ich bin fertig. Es wird Zeit “Freunde” zu löschen, die ich aus dem Kindergarten kennen und seitdem nicht wieder gesehen habe.

“Freunde” löschen ist hart. Soll ich? Soll ich nicht? Vielleicht später. Es ist echt ätzend, weil du dir immer denkst. “Hey, vielleicht passiert da mal etwas, was mich interessiert.” Tut es nicht. Niemals.

Ich musste mehrmals lachen, welche Leute ich da überhaupt noch drin habe. Wer ist so doof und added auch Ex-Freundinnnen? Oder Typen, die mich als Junge verkloppt haben. Wer will das? Leute, die man drei Tage in der Berufsschule gesehen hat. Danach nie wieder. Wer will das? Das ist reiner Gruppenzwang. Es interessiert mich bei meinen echten Freunden wie ihr Leben ist und dort interessieren mich sogar die schlechten Dinge. Dinge, die auf Facebook nicht gepostet werden.

Alle Leute, die ich bei Twitter habe (und deren Blogs), brauche nicht auch noch bei Facebook.

“Guck mal meine neue geile Karre!” Lebenserfolge in Form von fahrbarem Blech kommen gut an. Das war 1990 schon so und das ist heute auch noch ein Erfolgsfaktor. Plötzlich kommen Menschen aus Löchern raus gekrochen, weil Sie denken dass du plötzlich total berühmt bist. Kommerz, Geld, Karriere, Duckfaces. Bääh!

Die virtuelle Bestätigung von “Bekannten” kann ich mir schenken, also bleibt noch der Gruppenzwang. Gruppenzwang – hahahaha! Never!

Mein Profil wird zu einem “Fake-Account”, damit ich noch die armen Schweine ohne RSS-Reader auf meiner Fanpage bedienen kann, aber ansonsten war es das. Nach meiner Löschaktion waren es noch 62 Leute, die ich interessant finde. Alles andere ist in meinem Feed-Reader.
